Leading Electrical, Signalling & Power Contractor across railway infrastructure, with key works including HV, LV and DC installation and testing

·         Set performance objectives to facilitate sustainable business development, requiring extensive liaison with the CEO

·         Driving high standards throughout a multi-disciplined team, providing ongoing appraisal and development opportunities, embedding task ownership and continual improvement at the heart of all operations

·         Managing the Planning Department, with an portfolio of circa £35M, comprised of up to 30 projects of various sizes, ranging from £350K to £15M

·         Providing programme interface and communications between client, subcontractors and internal departments

·         Working on both Network Rail and London Underground, preparing and delivering detailed, logic driven, cost and resource-loaded tender programmes of between £250K - £100M, tailored to contracts such as NEC and JCT

·         Chairing internal project meetings involving multiple project teams and internal departments, performing critical path analysis to update and progress plans throughout whole project lifecycle

·         Reviewing and mitigating potential issues at client project meetings and agreeing actions in respect of risk management, issue resolution and promotion of opportunities

·         Diligent monitoring of project performance, providing a wide range of weekly dashboard reports, implementing corrective action when required to keep the project on track. S-curve, Earned Value Analysis, SPI, CPI and Planned v’s actual labour histogram, Movement of project against baseline, burn down chart, projected profit margin, forecast spend in current and next period, Variations, Early warning notices and outstanding Project Issues aiding successful project outcomes.

·         Attending CVRs to set performance metrics in addition to preparing board review narratives

Accomplishment

·         Developed and implemented a Company Project Management Procedure in conjunction with the CEO and Head of Projects, to promote best practice for running and monitoring projects
