Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)

Integrated Project Delivery (abbreviated IPD), is a collaboration of people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that uses the skills of all participants to get project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste, and maximize efficiencies throughout all phases of design, fabrication, and construction.

There are considered to be eight main phases to the Integrated Project Delivery method:

  • Conceptualization phase
  • Criteria design phase
  • Detailed Design phase
  • Implementation Documents phase
  • Agency Review phase
  • Buyout phase
  • Construction phase
  • Closeout phase
