Senior Cost Control Engineer

Saipem Kazakhstan (ERSAI Caspian Contractor LLC) – Kuryk Construction Yard

 

The mission is to establish & manage effectively a cost control system to support the PM's decision-making process & allow completing the project within the approved Budget, ensure any deviation from plan is promptly spotted & analyzed, final impact is estimated & the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored, create a cost awareness atmosphere among all project participants & satisfy the Client & Corporate reporting requirements (Budget/Forecasts/Accruals). The tasks mainly include:

  • Ensure, during initial phase after contract award, the implementation of the Cost Control System, the effective application during the execution phase & cost status is soundly assessed & reported.
  • Keep the cost/revenues forecast updated, to allow updating the intercompany service agreements.
  • Contribute in Contract changes/claims process by providing the cost impact analysis.
  • Monitor, for subcontracts and other significant items, progress and the value of work done against the invoices received, determining the monthly accruals.
  • Revise the Control Budget (revenues & costs) with all agreed Changes & internal transfers.
  • Prepare the Project Status Report, attend the internal coordination meetings and cooperate preparing the Project Close-out Report and the cost feed-back data.
  • Review the monthly forecasts to complete, highlight any deviation from budget & the effect of the corrective actions taken by PM and review with the Risks Engineer the risks/opportunities status.
  • Issue the Monthly Cost Report (consolidated) inclusive of details and written comprehensive analysis of performance, trends, deviations and assumptions.
