Management, interface & control by providing planning and scheduling expertise reporting to the Lead Planner within a team of 15 x planners of different expertise/discipline knowledge.

  • Working with client planning representatives to ensure timely information availability by effective reporting and meetings.
  • Ensuring alignment of all Planning procedures at Karratha (Construction) Operating Centre liaising with Reading (Engineering), Perth (Procurement) & Thailand (Fabrication) Operating Centres.
  • Identify and implementing interfaces with other systems/processes including Change Control and Contract Administration.
  • Identify and analyse deviations and trends against the approved Project Schedule and Major Contracts. Investigate such deviations with the relevant group and advise Project Planning Manager requiring corrective action.
  • Work with the project personnel to provide a high level planning and scheduling service related to current & probable critical scheduling issues, including schedule support in the advance of pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
  • Managed the main Process Electrical & Instrumentation Contract from pre-award into pre-commissioning phase (Entire Process Train) single-handed from a planning and reporting perspective. This Contract included site wide HV Terminations.
  • Managed the Specialist Instrumentation Contract from pre-award (site wide) for instrument calibration and loop testing single-handed from a planning and reporting perspective.
  • Managed Main Process Mechanical Contract as Construction commenced through to pre-commissioning phase for select Process Units (Power Generation, Fractionation, Nitrogen Removal and Fuel Gas Units).
  • Planning interface at different levels on Civil, Scaffolding, Painting & Insulation Contracts.
  • Ensure that the current Primavera P3 Level 3 Schedule includes all approved scope changes and that the current forecast includes all appropriate trends whilst expediting routine maintenance of the schedule.
    • Review and understand all relevant planning documentation pertaining to the project, including scope of services, construction execution schedules, proposal /project schedule (including manpower projection plan), conditions of contract, manning and quantity resource loading and leveling
  • My greatest contribution was developing the structure of the P6 Project Schedule’s Enterprise Project Structure, WBS, Calendars and Activity Code dictionaries used for all major Contracts. This enabled the integration of most Contractor Contract Programs for combined 6 week lookahead schedules providing pivotal information for conflict resolution and critical path analysis.
