The design of a 1200km rail line connecting coal mines in Tete with the port of Nacala in Mozambique.

Involving route selection, engineering, specification and cost consultancy, the reference design work builds on our role during the initial stages of project development providing logistical and economic studies.

By fine-tuning alignment of the railway, we’ve eliminated the need for tunnelling and reduced the number of bridges and viaducts, cutting cost and enabling faster construction.
