Senior Planning Engineer, VINCI Construction , Building Refurbishments, upgrade to building security systems (Design & build)

 Summary of my responsibilities are:

 

·       Responsible for producing tender programmes that are compliant with Ministry of Justice (MoJ) tender figures, design and methodology utilising Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and ASTA Power software.

·       Produce tender deliverables as required (agreed at initial tender meeting with planning manager / bid manager).

·       Work with allocated operations support in the production of method statements etc and ensure that tender programme aligns with the pricing methods.

·       Engage with supply chain and bid team members to discuss and achieve optimum programme and method solutions.

·       Attend all tender meetings as required and assist in the preparation of bid submission documents.

·       Develop and produce fully logic linked and integrated tender programme comprising the design, procurement, construction and commission compliant with tender sum, design (where appropriate) and methodology.

·       Create, manage and update the construction programme and its communication to internal and external customers and major stakeholders.

·       Identify programme Critical Path and to triangulate Risks, Assumptions, Issues & Dependencies (RAID) and status reports against 4, 8 & 12 Week Look ahead reports.

·       Manage and incorporate Change Events (CE) into the construction programme and jointly with the commercial team, secure full entitlement under the contract.

·       Liaise with Project Manage to issue Early Warning Notice (EWN) and discuss Compensation Events (CE) with client and M & E subcontractor where required in line with NEC 3 form of contract.

·       Provide detailed support and assistance to the project to enable the team to monitor bottlenecks on the critical path. Change logic where previously agreed logic is out of date to either improve upon the baseline programme or to mitigate potential delays.

·       Produce reports and programme commentary to stakeholders on reporting requirements.

·       Produce programmes, reports and / or extract filters/layouts as required by the project team, including indication of deviation from the baseline programme.

·       In conjunction with the commercial team, produce earned value analysis data in compliance with the customer and organisation’s requirements.

·       Formally issue programme updates to the customer as required by the contract.

·       Attend progress meetings with internal and external customers and deliver presentation on project progress.

·       Manage the planning and programme process by closely monitoring and controlling the development and implementation of the programme and checking completeness of supply chain packages.
