Phil has 30 years Project Controls leadership experience on major/mega projects including High Speed 2, Express Rail Link Hong Kong, Doha Metro, Thameslink, Crossrail, Muscat International and Salalah Airports (Oman), Palm Jumeirah, Ferrari World Theme Park (Abu Dhabi), Hong Kong International Airport, Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1) and the Channel Tunnel.

Phil has led Project Controls teams through the full Project Controls lifecycle of Major/Mega Projects. He is personally involved in the management, development and analysis of programmes at all levels and stages of projects from pre-contract to contract completion and associated claims. He is financially and contractually aware with good analytical skills. Experience of Extension of Time claims and associated negotiations.

Phi has established Project Controls Teams in various countries around the World, including developing the required processes and procedures. He has mentored team members and assisted with their development.  In Hong Kong, the personal development has led to local members of staff taking over his role and continuing to deliver for the Client.

Phil is Good at building relationships and used to working with and also advising Governments up to and including Ministerial level, Clients and Contractors usually at a senior level but able to communicate well with all members of the project team. Well motivated and adaptable with high personal standards, responsible and conscientious. He has detailed knowledge of Primavera, working knowledge of Microsoft Project and a good understanding of both schedule and cost risk analysis.
