As a project controller my key duties were to provide robust, single source, accurate management information using Primavera P6 and SAP to enable the effective delivery of the Capital Programme at a business area, programme, sub-programme and project level. My responsibilities and achievements include: Responsible for the cost and planning engineering, risk and change management facilitation for the First Time Sewerage AMP5 programme of work, with a budget circa £25m. • Use of Primavera P6 to produce a detailed logically linked full project lifecycle template schedule to deliver the distribution mains cleaning programme of work to strict government deadlines in a smooth and efficient manner and the optimisation programme to strict company deadlines. • Development of time and cost norms data to enable the use of rolling wave planning techniques and to aid the long term programme level planning of future works. (circa 10 years’ worth of scope) • Periodic updating of projects in P6, via liaison across the delivery teams, including project managers, engineering design managers/team, commercial, operations, construction partners and 3rd parties to source updated information as required. • Preparation and presentation of monthly management information reports at programme level verification meetings. Reports detailed cost, milestone and output performance to date and forecasts against budgets and agreed baselines • Weekly tracking of key milestones and reporting to the responsible managers across the network construction alliance to help keep a focus on the delivery of critical project steps and gateways. • Involvement in co-ordinating quality audits of projects using the corporates system. I performed regular audit interviews and updated SharePoint with my findings. Process mapping of the Project Controls departments processes to align with the corporate project delivery system.
