Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Resident Engineer in developing schedule evaluation criteria to ensure Contractor compliance with their contractual obligations
  • Reviewing the Contractor’s detailed work program submissions and prepare the evaluation report.
  • Advising and assisting the contractor in the development of the resource and cost-loaded work programs.
  • Recording and reporting the actual progress of the work versus the planned work.
  • Monitoring all activities in the project schedule for potential delays, and regularly update claims and variation logs.
  • Advising the Resident Engineer of any potential delays to the program, and work closely with the project team to develop mitigations to minimize or avoid these delays.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports – highlight planned versus actual progress, forecasted end dates, areas of concern and / or recovery plan activities
  • Review contractor’s weekly report submittals.
  • Producing cash flows in Primavera P6 and work with Resident Engineer to liaise with the Commercial team.
  • Participating in Weekly Progress Meetings and preparing minutes of progress meeting
  • Monitoring actual production rates and compare with planned.
  • Ensuring all document records and logs related to potential schedule delays/claims from the Contractor are filed and maintained in accordance with the Project Quality Management System. These include but are not limited, to logs of Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Test Certificates, Procurement, Method Statements, Site Inspection Requests, As-Built Drawings, and other Manuals.
  • Checking progress on site as requested by the Resident Engineer to ensure accurate progress reporting by the Contractors.
  • Monitoring long lead item procurement activities including delivery to site.
  • Review/analyze and substantiate the Contractor’s Extension of Time claims and prepare the recommendation to the client.
