PROJECT ENGINEER ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provision of engineering support to the project manager and be his deputy;

·         Supervise the work of engineers in the various disciplines who have been assigned to his project;

·         Review and checking of the technical specifications and work scopes of contract documents

·         Review and approval of the deliverables of his team, such as study reports, work procedures,             specifications,  drawings and requisitions;

·         Review and update with the relevant staff, the work schedule and project costs and take remedial action where required. Supervise the technical performance of sub contractors;

·         Liaise with the client and write the project progress reports, identify and process Variation Orders;

·         Be familiar with the objectives of the company, its management practices and implement these and monitor where these can be improved;

·         Liaise with QA and HSE departments. Organize or take part in QA and HSE audits.

·         Planning, management and coordination of all project activities from conception.

·         Monitor man hours and prepare invoice

·         Prepare weekly project status update report for distribution to client and company management.

·         Participate in HAZOP

·         Complete responsibility on a project, reporting to a Project Manager/ Engineering Manager

·         Coordinate with clients’ project engineers and all task management.

·         Coordinate with project discipline leads and learn general engineering design practices.

·         QA/QC activities on outgoing deliverables along side QA/QC.

·         Work in conduction with the Leads to prepare the CWE/CTRs.

·         Prepare Project Execution Plan for the Project.

·         Obtain design information, decisions and answers required to complete engineering designs, including timely return of Client approvals

·         Monitor design departments to assure deliverables are issued for squad check, Client approval and construction per the schedule

·         Identify project scope changes and issue deviation reports

·         Prepare and update action lists in a timely manner

·         Approve specifications, drawings and final reports

·         Point of contact with the regulatory agencies

·         Responsible for technical content and interfaces for scopes of work for a specific area or module

·         Prepare Project Coordination Procedure for the Project.

·         Prepare Project Close Report
