PROJECT ENGINEER, EDF Energy, London Underground PPP

·            Manage Planners, Site Engineers, Administrators and site operatives, providing support and coaching as required.

·            Responsibility  for commercial aspects of work and management of all Site Information Requests (SIRs)

·            Coordinate with site staff via the site and shift engineer.

·            Assist the surveys project manager with any quality assurance issues and act as the point of contact for all requests and queries from WSA.

·            Review and enhance build-ability of designs considering value, contractual requirements, implementation times, compliance with regulation standards, quality assurance, HSE.  Liaise with Project Engineer (Design).

·            Liaise with the Project Engineer (Planning) and other construction affiliates to produce project plans and estimated resource requirements.

·            Prepare necessary documentation for construction phase including method statements, risk assessments, work instruction and procedures.

·            Procure materials, select Operatives and buy/hire plant and equipment.

·            Ensure accurate and regular progress updates are provided to the Project Engineer (Planning), from Site Engineer daily reports and ensure the plan is updated.

·            Escalate and report issues to the Project Manager as soon as such are apparent.  Write a weekly progress report.
