Hi Sinan,

You will use the Dictionary for Resources. I think I missed one point there. Please check your mail. I sent you a snapshot regarding your query on that.

Sinan,

Dictionary is for Global and not Project Specific. All dictionaries like Resources, Accounts, Roles, Project Codes and etc… are global.

To work on Project Specific use Activity.xls

Hi Jeff,

I followed your Step-By-Step Guide SDk and when I reached to step that I set Resources it loaded in All Resource instead of current Project, whats the reason behind this issue?

Hi Sinan,

First, delete those errors then go back to log in. Put your USERNAME and PASSWORD then click the arrow down button of PRIMAVERA SDK then thats the time to UPDATE PROJECT LIST then Select Project button.

If this will not be successful, remove your SDK to ODBC and you have two options either Add again and check if it will go through or install otherwise.

Dear Jeff,

I would like to inform you that my problem has been solved, the problem was that when I tried to configure SDK I was using "pmsdk$primavera" and I should use "pmdb$primavera"

Thank you Rodel for your solution

and thank you Jeff for trying to help me in this regard

Hi Sinan,

I don’t have the answer either why SDK is not configurable wherein all the steps and parameters were followed correctly. As I told you, the only solution i got before was when i formatted my PC. I think there’s a file causing this error that needed to be corrected. Perhaps some of our members here has the right solution not formatting a PC. But for others, the solution from other forums that i gave you, worked correctly.

Sinan,

What database are you using? Oracle or SQL? the configuration is different from 2 database. Can you also check on ODBC if Primavera SDK is installed? (Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Data Sources (ODBC)-> Double click and under System DSN you should found Primavera SDK Primavera Software Development Kit as shown below:

P6 SDK

When you double click it will show as below:

P6 SDK ODBC

If you be able to see those then SDK was installed correctly and should be able to configure SDK database.

Best Regards,

Rodel
