Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

A senior and seasoned planner is required for a variety of major projects being conducted UK wide. Thus your location may be able to be accommodated.

This is an opportunity for an experienced planner seeking to develop their career through their contribution to the planning of a number of large scale strategic programmes. The primary role is to establish a master schedule network for the programme. This will involve the integration and summarisation of various existing schedules into one logic linked schedule capable of providing progress and critical path analysis at various extracted levels. The initial requirement is to provide the programme with a credible baseline schedule, sufficient to enable resource loading to an appropriate level (Level 2).

The successful candidate will be a seasoned planner with a demonstrable track record developing and integrating schedules in major heavy engineering programmes. You will be comfortable working autonomously and within extended planning teams providing advice and guidance. Communication and diplomacy skills are a must as you will be interfacing with multiple stakeholders across many companies.

Your current planning skills will include critical path and earned value analysis, performance and progress analysis, progress reporting and cost/resource loading. You will have detailed knowledge of major planning tools with expert knowledge of MSP and Primavera.

Whilst the initial term is likely to be 6 months for contract roles this will be renewed for considerable periods for individuals who prove their value. Further, a number of roles exist for permanent staff.
