Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All

Please advice in the situation mentioned below.

I am working on P6R8 standalone application on SQL 2005. By Mistake i restored an old data backup file in SQL 2005.

My whole working files got lost , As they were not the part of old data backup.

Can i recover my working/present database anyhow. As i had done a lot work on that. But never took backup.

Please guide.

Important :

None of the options were selected (overwrite,Preserve,Prompt,Restrict access)

Recovery state- 1st option Leave the database ready to use by rolling back uncommitted transactions. Additional transaction logs cannot be restored (RESTORE WITH RECOVERY)
