Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

 Dear Planners,

I need to create a staffing plan by discipline. The staffing plan needs to be based on heads (name+lastname), for instance:

                        (manhours)

Civil                 wk1      wk2      wk3

Eng.1              40        20        20

Tec 1               40        40        40

Tec 2               20        10        10

I have loaded my schedule with budgeted units per activity at the level of one resource, for instance civil (670 hrs).

Is there a way in P6 to convert my budgeted units per activity into people (by name) per discipline.

The staffing plan is normally done in Excel.

Due to my manhours (budget) are already in P6, I would like to have the same source of manhours.

Any planner in the world with the same thought ???

Cheers,

Carmen

yes you can add roles and use peoples names in the roles

go to enterprise roles and set them up there then assign the resource AND THE ROLE
