Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Importing from P6 to MSP....Activity Codes Issue

Hi All,

I’m having trouble with exporting a P6 file to MSP. The P6 file has Activity Codes assigned but when I export the file to MSP, the Activity Codes won’t come over. So I can’t see the same layout as I see in P6. Any idea how can I get the same layout as fast as possible?

Mohsen,
Global & EPS level activity codes are not exported to MSP only Project level activity codes. If you define Project level activity codes it will automatically converted to Task Outline Code in MSP same as Resouce Code = Resource Outline Code.

Note: UDF codes requires mapping in order to export to MSP.
