Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

Does anyone know how to remove the Text Label Characters from the Gantt view. I have tried Limit Text Label Characters in Barchart Options but still shows 1 text value plus a series of .... in the Gantt View.

right click in bar area,click modify,click lable,click in data column,click down arrow,click on log record,it will remove act. descrip. from bar,click the act. no.,f7 on key board,click on log and fill in your notes

Peter,

Go to [Bars...] and select the tab [Bar Labels].

If you then select the upper bar and scroll down through your bars (one by one, with [arrow down]), you’ll automatically find the bars that have a label. Remove these, and you are done.

You need to go to the View menu -> Bars, then select the relevant bar/s and delete the ’Activity Description’ bar label (bottom of screen).

The problem is the activity description appears in the gantt chart area right of the bar. I have tried removing this by reducing the limit text label characters but the minimum value is 1. This interferes with other labels I wish to apply to the barchart. Do you know how to remove the activity description from the barchart.
