Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Can you please advise me a way to assign wbs codes for group of activities, without the necessity of doing this for each activity?

Hi Mr. David,

If I’m not mistaken, you can’t. "RA" is similar to "SDK" in P3. There is a Dictionary6x for P6. However, there is no WBS in here, only Activity Codes.

There is one more called "PATTLNK_632006_536-xerFileParser&Builder" but a little bit difficult to assign the WBS & Activity Code.

Regards,

Arnold

Can you use ’RA’ files in P5/P6?

If you can why don’t you export the WBS dictionery skeleton to the PROJECT.xls file, fill it out quickly in Excel and then re-import it?

David.

Hi Alan,

Welcome to Planning Planet.

You can display the WBS & Activity Code in your Column and use the Fill down (CTRL+E). Or you can even drag/move the activities to the WBS level.

Another thing is, try to export to excel and assign it.

HTH.

Regards,

Arnold
