Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Has anyone else had this query?

I need to be able to do a costing total on a period basis and a pricing on a period basis but not all staff are costed at the same rate.

I have tried numerous ways to sort this. I have tried doing a report using custom data fields but you can’t calculate in reports. Tried global change but it wouldn’t produce a spread of the costs going forward just a total. I have tried a global change to change the rate type form on to the other so using the two rate but p3e changes to rate2 but will not change it back to rate1. (Just leaves the rate type with nothing in on all resources).

Can anyone shed some light on how i might sort this out?
