Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Ive imported a msp file into p6 using mpx.

I inherited the msp but the wbs went down to activity level.

Ive imported it and the wbs only goes to summary level.

My client will be expecting the wbs to go to activity level like the msp plan he handed over to me to convert.

Hi Craig

There is a new tool available called XerTransfer that will allow you to import easily between both platforms.  The WBS in Both MSP & P6 will match.  It is compatible with Microsoft Project 2013, 2016 & 2019.  You can download a trila version with full functionality in the link https://xertransfer.com/ . As long as you have Microsoft Project 2013, 2016 or 2019 it will be a relatively quick process.

Regards

Sterling

2 things

1st in the msp turn off the summaries prior to saving the file.

2nd save the fle in xml format and import the xml into p6
