Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

IN P6, When an actitivy with Activity ID 1000 is copied and pasted, using the 'increment value 1' the actitvity ID of the copied activity should be 1001.

For most of the projects it is working as it should, but in some projects it is not

Is this a bug? or a setting I am not aware of?

(When pasting the copied activity, i use the setting of "increment Activity ID based on selected activities")

Pierre,

Could you give us an example of the unexpected result you've got when you copy / paste the A1000 activity?

Don't you have an activity ID "1001" yet? In that case, P6 will number the pasted activity "1001-1" or from the last ID in your project
