Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello,

During a process of passing XERs back and forth with a consultant, all activity codes for about 2000 activities were deleted.

Are there any automated ways of adding them back in using a previous version where the codes still exist?

Thanks

If you are able to import a previous XER file that contains the original codes and values, then you can use XLS export/import to reassign all the values from the previous project to the current project quite easily by matching the values assigned by Activity ID and using vlookup formulae.
