Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Good day everyone!

I have, what i hope, is a simple problem. I constantl create plans for construction projects, that might not start on the predicted day i would like it to start on.

I assume, that if i plan in automatic mode, i should only have to change the start dated, and automatic mode will automatically change all the dates.

But..sometimes i would just like to make my construction plans on numbered days only and not actual calender days. If my project is planned for 120 days, i would like to have the option to view it in days 1,2,3....118, 119, 120

Are these things possible??

Thank you!!

Hi Timothy,

You can find this by right clicking on the top of your Gantt chart; hover over the timescale itself, right click, and then click on "Timescale".

Hope this helps.

Thank you Robert;

You can show ordinal dates on your Gantt chart by changing the units of time in the Timescale options to "Days" and then changing the label to "01, 02, ...."

Where do i click or find the timescale options to days,,in ms project 2013?

Hi Timothy,

You can show ordinal dates on your Gantt chart by changing the units of time in the Timescale options to "Days" and then changing the label to "01, 02, ...."

I'm not sure if you can do it with the date fields though. You could use the "3/W05" date format in the General tab of Options, it's kind of ordinal but not the best format.....
