Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have just finished re-reading David Barry’s excellent paper entitled "Beware the Dark Arts! Delay Analysis and the Problems with Reliance on Technology"

There are some good discussion points within the paper, that do not detract from the thrust of the text.

One, which I find quite interesting, is David’s point on what he refers to as "A mechanistic delay analysis methodology..." where he discusses Time Impact Analysis and the principle that a variation issued well in advance of the effect of that variation could be used as a ’cover’ for the Contractors culpable delays. (Page 7 of the paper if anyone has it)

I read the paper long time ago.

It is not championing Mike’s belove and simplistic "Impacted as-planned Analysis Method".

Mike what can you say when one of your brethen have this opnion that Impacted as Planned is not really

"... the Method Recommended by the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol".

in fact the paper stated "... time impact analysis method ... is the method recommended by the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol.

cheers,
Charlie
