Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Re-Schedule

I have been given a programme to review. It Asta V12. When I re-schedule, I find 2 tasks that have

  1. No Links (in or out)
  2. No constraints of any kind

After I re-schedule (F9), the tasks “just sit there”. They do not move back to the re-schedule date. I can “move” them to another date, and again they just sit there. What is causing this??

Hi Ronan

Goto Tools > Options > Reschedule and you will see three options for tasks with no links.

Yours is pobably set to > "Leave as drawn within constraints"

Choose any of the other two to get a different option - the task will probaly fall back to day 1.

Best option is to put some logic onto it.
