Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

You can download the 37 Excel files which illustrate exactly how you can use the SDK Magic tool from this link.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/o1g4j8qw7rmk3pg/Primavera_SDK_Samples.zip/file

Most of the files have three sheets:

The first one represents the current status in Primavera.

The second sheet includes the required changes which may be  adding or removing or modifying.

The third sheet makes a comparison to assure that all modifications have be done by the SDK Magic tool as required.

You can also update all tools from these links:

Hi Murali,

You should see the last 6 minutes of this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjVqyzOCgSE

to know exactly the required settings to use the SDK Magic Tool.

In general you should use Excel 2007 or 2010 where it must be 32 Bit.

The SDK Magic Tool works only with Oracle and SQL database.

Primavera SDK development kit must be installed.

You should create an ODBC connetion for any database you would like to view or modify.

Try to use the second part of the tool and send me any error message as a screen shot to search for a solution.

Even after it got opened when i click open table after selecting the list of table from drop down menu the excel file got closed automatically. Is there is any solution to open this file?
