Risk and Planning Manager, Buro Happold, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2009 – 2010), Wadi Al-Asla

START Date:
February, 2009
END Date:
February, 2010

This project involved the preparation of an Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for a high profile site on the outskirts of Jeddah. The site incorporates 5 individual land parcels totalling 120km2. At its centre is the Briman Lake – a temporary storage facility for waster water, which has been in operation for 17 years. Ongoing capital investment in the city’s infrastructure will enable the local Authority to decommission the lake, thus releasing a potential asset back to the city.

Client: Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company (JDURC)

As designated Risk and Planning Manager John provided Scheduling (PRIMAVERA P6), Risk and Cost Control advice on an ad-hoc basis over the course of this project. This involved the co-ordinating and chairing of regular workshops with key project members to capture project information and progress.
