(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

Need a help from TILOS expert to show me step by step on convert P6 R8 to TILOS 7.

 

Have try export P6 R8 to XML File but when import in TILOS, none of the information is transfer to this TILOS. Believe i have use incorrect method and need any of you to help me on this.

I have try using Primavera Data Exchange but this statement appear and export is failed.

 

Preparing to export...
Checking UDFs...
Some of the user defined fields (UDF) needs to be created before an export.

What should I do, How to create user defined field?

Hi,

there are multple ways to bridge to P6 Version 8:

1 If you are only interested in task: Prepare Primavera Gantt Text Panel with all information (columns) you need in TILOS, copy that to the clipboard: Use TILOS asc import from clipboard to import data into TILOS.

Map one column with your TILOS template to set automatic color, shape and lines styles based on P6 information.

2 Use TILOS - Primavera data exchange module, for this you need Primavera API running. This allows exchange of task, links, calendars and resource information. This generates XML, that TILOS can read.

The P6 XML export can not be directly import to TILOS. Wrong xml structure.
