Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I have upgraded from P5 to P6v7. Eariler It was Standalone version but now it is client version. I connected to P5 Database in MSSQL Server through P6v7 client. Database was connected but on staring the program , I am getting followign error:

The application and database versions do not match. Click Exit to close the application.

         Primavera P6 7.0 SP1
         Expected database version:  PMDB,0700.0001.0001
         Current database version:     PMDB,0500.0024.0001

 

How can I remove this error...

Sanjeet,

You need to upgrade your database to v7.  In the upgrade package you would have got via edelivery or similar there should be a file labelled 'dbsetup.bat'.  Run this, follow the dialog boxes and this should solve the issue.  To do this you'll need your sql login details and root address.
