Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

dear planners.

i uploaded an Excel template for how to generate.

Dynamic S curve.( planned and earned)
Dynamic Summary Progress report.
Dynamic Detailed Progress report.

for the planned value either you import directly from P6, or generate it using the early start and OD, but it is a very simplistic approach, as it suppose the distribution is linear and there is no holidays in the duration of the activity.

in the budget, put whatever you have either manhours or cost, or just value to map your weightage.

the progress is weekly based, you just put the value of the cumulative physical progress in %

and sorry for the hideous Histograms, i am trying to figure out how to change the setting in Excel chart.

regards
mimoune

Just use the link provided in the original post. All the comments from this post are from 2012, but the link still works.

Sorry for the late reply, I forget to subscribe to the thread

I updated the link, and no, it is not dynamically linked to P6,  as I don’t want to use the sdk for that.

and the period performance is stored in Excel, i am not a huge fan of store period performance in P6

Hi Mimoune,

Thanks for the effort. Just one question, is this dynamic? I mean dynamically linked to P6 to get data from P6 or we need to copy paste?

Thanks again.
