Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Editing the Import datas from Excel

Dear All,

I exported my program from P6 to Excel and input Budgeted cost in excel in Projcost sheet.

After loading the cost, i imported back the file to P6.

But now , i am not able to edit the budgeted cost column in P6.

Can anybody suggest any solution to edit the budgeted cost column??

Haresh,
You are trying to edit a non-editable column which is a summation of Labor Cost, Non Labor cost, Material cost and expenses. If you import a cost using "ProjCost" meaning you used Expenses table. You can edit the cost under Expenses tab on Activity Detail.

Let me explain again clearly.......

First I exported my P6 program to excel. Then i loaded cost in excel in "ProjCost" sheet and then again imported back to P6.

Now i have cost loaded in "Budgeted Total cost", whereas Project material cost and Project Labour cost column shows no cost.

But now i cannot edit the data in the budgeted total cost column in P6.

Any solution pls..

Maybe, you are showing the Budgeted Total Cost in the Column?

Show instead the Budgeted Labor or Material Cost in the Column

Haresh,

Are you referring to Expenses cost under Expenses tab? Which project cost column are you referring?
