Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hey Guys,

Just went to interview and the guy asked me a confusing question : tell me how you can pull out Critical path in a network?

i already know about the backward and forward pass, total float and longest path, but i dont know what was in his mind exactly.

Can anyone tell me how? perhaps by P6 please ?

THanks

Matt,

He wanted to know how you would isolate, organize, and present the critical path as clearly as possible.  Once you know the critical path, you can analyze it to verify correctness and to suggest improvements or anticipate problems.  Good luck!
