Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Ya

Was wondering if anyone could help me on this one.

I am currently exporting a plan from P6 using the PM XER version 5 option (have also tried using contractor version 5), when the plan is then imported into our clients system (they are using P3E) the budgeted units are lost or increased randomly across some activities throwing out all the programme calculations.  Some of the activities have remained the same so I am not sure what is happening with this.  It also happens when I export and re-import the file into my P6.

If anyone has any idea's I would really appreciate some help with this one.

Cheers

Donna

Hi Donna,

This is always the case when using different computers that may have different configurations and set-ups, especially relating to the Calendar/number of working hours . P3 do not have this problem, however, the later versions are not quite perfect yet and this kind of problem should be brought to the attention of Primavera Systems.

I suggest, you check both computers and they need to be in the same set-up and configuration. You can check "Admin Preference" and User preference" I do not know if P3E has this but it has something to do with Calendar and the number of working hours.

If it still fails, suggest you export (budgeted units) seperately in excel and import it back to P3E.

Good luck!
