Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi guyz,

I am having difficulty in terms of assigning non labor resources.
The problem is when I assign a nonlabor, let say a crane at 10hrs/day (budgeted units/time)on the resources for a certain activity, once i opened the resourced usage profile, it doesnt reflect a 10hrs/day, (usually it reflects more than what i have assigned on the resource). Thus, if i have only 10hrs working time/day, the crane reflects an overallocation.

Do i miss something here,

Thanks in advance,

George

Hi George,

Before assigning the Nonlabor Resources, try to change the Default Units/Time equals to 10/d then assign it to corresponding activities.

Try to use "Fixed Duration and Units/Time" as Duration Type. The only thing is, your Budgeted Units will change.

HTH.
