Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am normally using Primavera, but am curently in an organisation using MS Project 2012 (+server).

I have suggester to start link activities between projects, but the other planners in the org. claims, that MSP cannot handle this....!

Statement from Planners: "Generally when hard link is used while opening the plan or saving or publishing the master project will try to refresh the child projects with the updated data hence there is a performance issue in this type of linking. More over if the links are with big project the issue becomes more."

Do MS Project have a issue with links between projects? if so is there a workaround?

You can link task between projects.  It is done with links so remember not to move the projects or the links will break.

Open the projects you would like to create links between.  The click on View --> New Window and select the projects to combine.  Now the projects are in the same temporary file.  Create your links, close and do not save the temporary file and you will see the links between the projects.  To view the links click on Project --> Links between projects.

Best of luck to you.
