Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I’m currently a very basic user of this software and need help with the creation of a Forward Resource Prog.

Basically I have approx 15 individuals to which various projects/tasks are assigned.
I need to be able to view all of these individuals and their assigned tasks in a single Gantt chart. It’s my intention to have the individual’s name under which their tasks will be indented.
The problem is that I need the Gnatt Chart to show holiday periods for each individual in order that I can see when they are on leave and how this affects the projects they are currently assigned.
I know that you can assign each task with a resource and that the software will extend the period allocated by the number of non-working days that fall within that period, but it only extends the bar rather than automatically split the bar or shade the chart with non-working time which is really what I need it to do.
I’m currently using the 2000 edition of Microsoft Project

Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated.

Regards

Damian
