Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Can you copy views from one programme to another.

I am trying to copy a view from one programme that I have spent a fair bit of time setting up to a number of other programmes for projects that are allready underway. Is there an easy way to do this or do i hve to go through the long process of reformatting the view in each one.

Thanks in advance

Sam

Hmmm... just had a look in Asta, you can definately copy across the library items for filters and sorts but i cannot see a way of copying an entire view across. Perhaps you could create a template out of the programme containing the view you want for use in the future but that doesn't much help with a programme which is already in existence.

Have you tried opening the programme you want to copy from and the one you want to copy to? Make sure the LIBRARY view is open on both programmes then left click and drag from the programme it is in to the LIBRARY view of the other programmes. You may be able to right click, copy and paste.
