Description 

1) Purpose:  This slide deck allows the user to quickly develop a training presentation for how estimates are developed.  It may be easily customized to reflect any specific SOP’s.

2) Design / Methodology / Approach: Designed to allow provide step by step for key items relating to the development and approval of various levels for a cost estimate.

3) Findings and Value: This slide show has been used effectively for several years, and when linked to a pre-read of the applicable SOP and Best Practice, tool provides a well-rounded introduction to the basics for project managers and other non-project controls personnel.

5) Practical Use / Implications: This has proven to be a useful training tool.

6) Originality / Value: This was initially developed for internal use, and has been modified to be generic for all to use.

7) Conclusions: This tool provides the user with a template to provide basic estimating training within their organization with minimal modification.
