Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello All,

is any one come across how to produce time scale for every 4 weeks on P6 v. 8.3 staring from 1st of April every year so I can see easily for each period how much man day and cost I spend/planned.

Getting the diagram and tabular reports using a user defined period shall be easy with any software. You shall be able to create the user defined periods but I do not believe you will be able show them as a time scale period.

With P6 time distributed data always keep in mind that P6 will not necessarily yield correct results unless the period is aligned with the financial periods you are using when updating your schedule. In addition remember that P6 have a limit of a single financial period definition per database.

Also the 1st of April every year will not be at the start of the 4 week user defined period period for every year as a year is not an exact multiple of 4 weeks plus we have a lap year every 4 years.

Hi I have developed a schedule where in total budgeted manhours are 1,133,767, however when copied to excel I am getting a difference of 235 manhours. Could some one please help me on this subject ?

Similarly when the total manhours are viewed in RESOURCE ASSIGNMENTS I have found that the total budgeted manhours are 1,132,567 which is 1,200 less compared to what is depicted on the manin ACTIVITIES table log.

Thanks
