I am trying to print a report showing link properties/attributes and lead/lag times for each task; ideally in Excel or Access format. I have seen no standard reports in Powerproject/Teamplan that can do this.

I am drafting a two weekly lookahead programme that hopefully will be saved as a template for the use at a later date the problem i am faced with is i have two work shifts mainly day and night. i have decided to use the flag column to decide whether the work pattern is that of the day or night shift. i have further moved on to select a graphical indicator to help site staff see graphically when the activity is with relation to the shape of the moon icon. now for the hard bit, i cannot seem to get the formula to display another icon in this field. any help on the above matter gre

Powerproject / Teamplan Improvements

Users of Powerproject/Teamplan might not know that many of the improvements to the software are driven by the users via the ‘wishlist’. Having said that I am aware that not everyone can get to user group meetings so this might be a good forum to say “I wish…”.

In my experience, most of the time you’ll find that the software can do what you thought it couldn’t do… its just a matter of finding the right buttons. So, if anyone has a wish or a great tip they think might not be in general circulation why not post it here and lets see what happens.

P3 or not P3

Lets see, two colleagues of mine, have for years used Powerproject, then gone on to use "Teamplan". They have now stopped using "Teamplan" in favour of P3.
This speaks for itself folks.

Firstly my congratulations and thanks to Gary France for achieving a home for Powerproject Users… I raised the same questions when I joined the forum and more recently when the survey was under discussion. Obviously Gary you have the tact and diplomacy I lack!

PowerProject on Planning Planet

Having just joined Planning Planet, I was asked to enter my software experience / skills in various planning software packages. I have to admit to being very suprised that PowerProject was not on the list of choices. In the UK, I believe this software is the most widely used, especially in the property / construction sector.

Having looked around the PP website for a while, I see that the greatest number of members are from the UK, so I am bemused at this seemingly major ommission. I can also see that a number of members discussed this point in the recent software evaluation.

MSP -v- P3 -v- Powerproject

I read with interest the previous discussion regarding MSP –v- P3 (I couldn’t reply on that thread for some reason).
I have recently become embroiled a little in this debate when discussing the merits (?) of MSP when a colleague said :

Touching on the future, we need to be aware that MSoft has done a licensing deal with the UK government on all its products, and I am now beginning to see public sector clients requesting programmes in MSP. This wont go away of course, so is there a simple way forward?

Power Project (Team Plan) Progress Bar

When progress is added to a child chart in power project when you go back up the bar this progress is indicated on the paerent bar. Does anyone know how accurate this is at indicating overall progress or by what method the overall delay is calculated?
