Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am trying to print a report showing link properties/attributes and lead/lag times for each task; ideally in Excel or Access format. I have seen no standard reports in Powerproject/Teamplan that can do this.

In the latest point release of Asta Powerproject there is a very simple way to achieve the results that you require.

In the columnsheet of Asta Powerproject create two new blank columns then change the properties of these by selecting the tokens for Logic:Predecessors and Logic:Successors. This will indicate to which tasks the task on that bar line are linked to.

If you then go into the Table definition dialogue and scroll across to the right you will find that there are two columns called "Style" and "Details". From the drop downs available you can change the information shown to either task name, task number, WBN number etc and in the details column you can indicate you want full details which will display the link type i.e. FS, FF, SS etc and the amount of lead/lag on that link.

If you then require this to be produced as a printed report you can either simply switch off the bar chart and print the columnsheet on it’s own from Asta Powerproject or you can copy and paste the information from the columns into Excel or Access as required.

If you are using an older version of Asta Powerproject and you have a current support agreement with Asta you can obtain a CD with the latest version of the Asta Powerproject software from the Asta Help Desk (support@astadev.com). Please ensure in all correspondence with the Asta Help Desk that you quote your name, company name and the serial number of your copy of the software.
