This was the first intake of project control apprentices which was a joint venture between, NETA (North East Training Agency), Darlington College, Teesside University, Siemens PLC UK, AMEC, Aker Kvaerner (Now Jacobs Engineering), K Home Engineering and Alpha + Limited.
The joint venture noticed a gap between current project management and control professionals trained specifically within the field and developed an apprenticeship which would train young employees on the job at the same time as attaining education.
