The role involved the planning and monitoring of the design, procurement and construction processes from site start onwards.

Position: Planning Engineer with Costain on their nuclear decommissioning framework at Berkeley Power Station. 

 

The framework objective is to help Magnox put the decommissioned nuclear power station at Berkeley into ‘Care & Maintenance’.  To achieve this they are in the process of extracting all remaining ‘intermediate level waste’ and processing it ready for disposal at a geological disposal facility.  The framework contract is based on the NEC model.  My role as the site planner is fourfold:
