Project Planner, Costain, M25 Holmesdale Tunnel

START Date:
January, 2006
END Date:
September, 2007

I was working as part of the construction site team in M25 Holmesdale Project, Enfield. The project is to refurbish tunnel structure on M25 junction 25, Holmesdale Tunnel. The scheme includes ground works, piling, demolition, construction of reinforced concrete walls and deck, and mechanical and electrical installation. Contract value: £75M.

As a Planner my role was to establish the contract programme, a target programme for each phase of the contract, a weekly updated programme, and gather information to analyse the production rate and identify area of concern within the project. I prepared and issued the weekly and monthly report to the client. I also involved in procurement process and monitoring the resources allocation.

During the period, I also involved in the bid team for tender to refurbish Hatfield Tunnel, on A1(M), and also tender for M25 DBFO.

As a Design Coordinator my role was to coordinate and review the design process and liaise with the appointed design team to produce a detailed design for the project. I also chaired the weekly design team meeting to resolve all the enquiries from the engineer of each section of the project to the design team and vice versa.
