Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

There is a factory building.Client has given machine foundation drawings,as our scope is providing foundations and in the drawings we have trench details.what will be the activiies involved?Please help.
The activities I have put in for the tower is Piling,excavation,raft construction.How can the machine foundations included in the programme.???also clent has specified the milestone dates for machine foundation.

Please help...

I am not sure where the tower fits in the Factory, but the sequence of activities for the Factory would be as follows:

1. Site Layout.
2. Mechanical Excavation.
3. Manual Excavation up to Bottom of Foundation.
4. Blinding formwork
5. Casting of Blinding.
6. Shuttering of Foundation.
7. Reinforcement of Foundation.
8. Casting of Foundation.
9. Shuttering of Foundation necks up to bottom of tie beams
10. Reinforcement of Foundation necks up to bottom of tie beams.
11. Concreting of Foundation necks
12. Insulation of Foundation.
13. Fill in layers up to bottom of tie beams
14. Shuttering of Tie beams.
15. Reinforcement of Tie beams.
16. Casting of Tie beams
17. Insulation of Tie beams.
18. Fill in layers up to bottom of Tench and pit holes for machines.
19. Blinding for tench and pit holes.
20. Shuttering of foundation of trench and pit holes
21. Reinforcement of foundation of trench and pit holes
22. Install mechanical piping, if any.
23. Install embedded galvanized angles around tenches to receive trench covers later.
24. Casting of foundation of trench and pit holes
25. Fill in layers up to bottom of Slab on Grade.
26. Complete mechanical piping.
27. Repair layers of fill.
28. Blinding for Slab on Grade.
29. Insulation below Slab on Grade.
30. Protection of insulation below slab on grade.
31. Reinforcement of Slab on Grade.
32. Casting of Slab on Grade.

Hi Vrinda

You have the detailed drawings so you can work out a logical sequence for the foundations and the machine bases.

Just watch out for any vibration / noise isolators.

Put a milestone on the end of each base and see if it meets your clients deadline - if it doesn’t then tell him before you start.
