Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Attn PP Admin

PP members are being invited by private message to fill in a survey allegedly from Loughborough University.

The messages come from a member called Dynamic Scheduling and the first part of the survey requires personal details.

They have not used the open forum where I could have deleted the thread immediatley.

Please can you check the member and if possible put up a general warning.

Best regards

Mike T.

Hi PP Team

The first question on the survey requires your email address.

Maybe we should encourage members to fill in the questions with a dummy email and random selected wrong answers.

Best regards

Mike T.

Dear Mike,

Yes, we contacted the individual and raised our concerns over the collection of proviate data and offered to help with with the research.  It appears that they have send a message to a lot of users but rest assured that the Private Message system does NOT allow anyone to see anyone's email address etc.

We closed the account and asked them to contact us for help.  They have since opened another account, which has similarly been blocked.

Regards....PP Team
