Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Amir Mina

Have you finalized the method you are going to asses the delays or to calculate the impact of delay event, only then detailing of procedure can be further discussed in this forum.

In you are using simplest method Impacted as planned , then you don't need to update the program

Cheer's

Hi Amir

It doesnt matter waht software you use the principle is the same.

1. Create a list of delay events.

2. Establish the programme tasks that are affected.

3. Work out the actual impact date of the event.

4. Create a task that represents each event and link up using FS link.

5. Reschedule and note the delay effect - if any.

6. Go on to the next event.

Impacted Delay Analysis only works if the work is ongoing.

Therefore use the original contract programme before any progress.

The system is as good as your programme - constraints - SS FF Links - lead lags - will distort the results.
