Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I changed some relations of the activities and I have completed that task. Now my real problem starts here.I dont want to delete the completed activities. The same actual dates I want to show as planned dates in my revised program. My intension is to show the planned bar and Acyual bar in same time. Dear Experts please help me in this issue ... hi arun

Jash already explained it, adjust the settings in admin menu

remove your baseline first in maintain baseline, then create your baseline again in maintain baseline using your current project

after assigning it, everything will be ok

As I have said in my previous comments, you can use your updated programme as your revised baseline if your client approve it. modifying your baseline dates means you're revising it. why you dont just show your real delay in that particular activity; besides, your completion date in your updated programme is same as your baseline.

Thank you Jash Jash I have revised the old updated program RV00. As every body knows there wont be change in the Actual dates .. Eg.. In ActivityID 1000 baseline start and finish is 10-10-2011 and 30 -10-2011 respectivley. But actual dates are 10-11-2011 and 30 -11-2011. In revesion 01 program I want 10-11-2011 and 30 -11-2011 as base program start date which is equal to Actual start. Is there any solution???? In the revised updated program I want the actual dates and Baseline line dates be same .....

Hi Arun,

In your case, you are revising your original baseline by reflecting your current actual dates and revised relationship of unfinished activities to recover your delay and this will need the approval from your client.

First, get an approval from your client and once you have it you can convert and assign ur updated schedule into baseline.

Now, your question is, you want to show your planned bar similar to your actual bar? after you assinged your updated schedule as your new baseline, go to admin windows, click admin preference and go to earned value;  choose earned value calculation as "Budgeted values with current Dates".

Gudluck,

Jash

Hi Arun

Set up a baseline / target programme that will underlay the live programme.

Best regards
