Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you can help me on this:

My client wants an output from P6 that shows the physical quantity of labor, or simply number of men, let’s say in a given activity or month.

Example:
I have 3-day activity(Excavation)
I have assigned 10 laborers(10 hours/day or 100h/day)
P6 will compute the budgeted units as 300 manhours @ 100 mh/day
Can P6 show me that I have assigned 10 laborers on that activity.

Thanks,

the way to go is: Bring up the ’resource usage profile’ then change the timescale setting to show Day/Hour and the histograms will show the actual numbers per day (you will have to compress the bar to get the full duration in a print preview and then print)

Hi RJ,

You can show your 10 Man-days per day by using the "Spreadsheet Option" & Resource Profile Options --> Calculate Average --> Interval totals by: "10"

This is applicable for Resource Usage Profile/Spreadsheet, Activity Usage Profile/Spreadsheet as well as in the "Resource Assignment".

If you need to do it in Excel sheet then, you can simply use the "Resource Assignment" and change the Timescale to day, week or month. Just copy & paste into Excel.

Note: When pasting into Excel sheet the value will be the same as the original budgeted units.

Regards,

Arnold

Hi RJ

P6 must have a labour histogram function somewhere. Every other set of software does.

Best regards
