Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Ive come across an interesting issue on a project where we have a programme included within our contract (NEC3). This programme had not been rescheduled prior to being included within the contract and as such the dates are not in line with the logic and constraints contained within the programme. Once rescheduled the dates are changed significantly.

My opinion on this is that a programme is more than the depiction of the dates and activities and should be reviewed and assess once it has been rescheduled as this is how the programme is operating in line with the logic and constraints written. The unscheduled version of the programme is in error as the dates are not working in line with the logic and constraints. Would be interested in others thoughs on this please and any case studies/additional information would be great.

Thanks in advance

This was a programme produced by a contractor and written into our subcontract not something that has been submitted for acceptance. Thanks for the clarity.

Mike is correct

The constrains in the schedule shoule be contractual ones. Either Contractual milestones or if you are give release dates for certain areas. ALL CONTRACTUAL

Hi Matthew - Welcome to Planning Planet.

Just admit the mistake and submit the corrected programme.

And while you are at it take those constraints off - they shouldn't be there.

Best regards
